This is a genuine Indesit oven 18000w round heating element replacement part. This heating element is the main source of heat for cooking. Heating elements are usually found at the top of the oven, depending on the oven type. The heating element’s main purpose is to heat up the oven and even out the heat generated. The element features a round shape which helps to evenly spread heat across the oven. The element is durable which prolongs it's uses and means it can handle extreme heat well. The element also includes 3 fixing brackets which help to securely hold the element in place and in the right position. The element also has a pointed connection terminal used for connecting the oven wires to the oven element. This oven element is suitable with models of Hotpoint, Indesit and Whirlpool cookers and hobs.
The main reasons why your oven element could break or become faulty include, frequent use, overheating, electrical issues, physical damage, and incorrect installation. Over time, oven elements can often decline due to age, making it easier for the element to become weaker. Frequent use of your oven can also cause your element to become faulty as the element is constantly being heated up and cooled down which can cause damages to the metal. Constant heat can also affect how well the heater element functions as this can cause the element to crack and break.
One main sign that your oven element isn’t working is when the oven light and fan comes on but no heat is generated. This is a clear indicator that your element is faulty and you will need a replacement. Uneven cooking within your oven can also be sign that you will need a replacement as heat is no longer even throughout the oven. This can lead to food safety concerns especially when cooking meat. Visible damages such as cracks and bent wire connectors are also common and should be replaced when they’re noticeable. Strange noises such as buzzing and unusual smells coming from your oven might suggest the element is overheating and can lead to further damage within your oven. Replacing your oven element sooner rather than later can make sure your element is functioning the best it should for your appliance.
