Quick delivery. Fitted and working just fine. A lot of work to fit but that's due Hotpoint
I ordered both thermostats after finding (via an oven theremometer) that both ovens were overheating. Disconnect the power (at the fuse box?). Removing the doors from the built-in double oven made it much lighter to slide out of its slot and once the top cover and back cover was removed and the connectors photographed on my phone as a reference, changing both theremostats was quite easy. Do them one at a time to make sure you get the correct replacement theremostat in the correct oven. The only fiddly bit is carefully undoing the clips that hold the theremostatic controller onto the back of the control. Took about an hour to replace and afterwards both ovens work correctly. Well worth the £70 spent. Ransom Spares had the correct theremostats available and in stock based on the model number printed inside the door opening which made ordering easier.
This unit arrived the following day and was fitted very easily,i also received a refund on another product that I had purchased by mistake, excellent service !
The thermostat is exactly as advertised. It came well packaged and was easy to install. 10/10 from me for the part and the service.
I've given 5 stars in all aspects. Exact replacement and only took 20 minutes to change. For the diy'er could not be simpler. Delivery quick too saving my wife's moans at the burnt food!
Please can you confirm if this thermostat is compatible with a Hotpoint Ultima HUE61K S cooker.
Hi Mandy, the top oven thermostat required for your model is RS143064.
I have a Hotpoint DHS53CXS double oven. The grill has stopped working but the fan comes on. I have purchased from you a new regulator twin circuit code RS184894. It did not fix the problem. I have replaced the grill element which I purchased locally. Still not fixed. The oven does work OK. What should I try next? Your ideas would be greatly appreciated
Hi Barry, thanks for your question. As you've already replaced the most commonly failing items without success, I'd recommend contacting an engineer to diagnose the fault as we couldn't be sure without testing the oven.
