Oven is a built in double Hotpoint BD62 SS Mk2T (Code No 07453030000, Serial No 702280052). Control knobs push in when not in use and spring out when pushed again to operate. The main oven function selector knob (not the temp setting one) sticks in and is hard to get out. Your Part No RS142642 looks right and matches the cooker number.
To replace, does it simply pull off (tried firmly but no go) and will a new knob move in/out freely or is there a mechanism behind it maybe needing attention?
Hi Eric, I can confirm this is the correct knob for your model. The holder for this that sits behind the fascia panel is RS142409.
