delighted to find this which has solved problems -avoiding costing me £££££ for new oven and what's more condemning a perfectly good appliance to waste with all the impacts that has.

As other reviewers have said- if there are no obvious mechanical issues with the oven, i.e. fan motor O.K, elements O.K. this PCB is most likely the fault. Admittedly quite a lot of money to pay out on an obsolete oven, but if it's a quality product like AEG, well worth it.

After having my engineer locate the problem with my oven I was able to go on the Ransom Spares website and find the required part without much difficulty. I ordered it for next day delivery and as hoped it turned up the next morning so by the afternoon the new Power board was installed and my oven back to full working order. My engineer said it was fairly easy to install. Thank you Ransom Spares for the prompt delivery and making products easy to find or knowledgeable staff available if needed to locate suitable replacement parts.

Bought this board for an AEG Competance D5701-4-M PRODUCT NUMBER 944171390 SERIAL NUMBER 71400085. The OVC 1000 power board is an updated version of the one that is in my oven. Original one 2004 vintage, new one 2009 vintage. Aeg list this as obsolete for my oven but this works fine in it. Why do AEG list it as obsolete for my oven when this part is identical, you tell me, probably to sell more new ovens. You only have to slide the over part way out to undo the top half cover and it is easily replaceable. Small screwdriver to bend back the plastic spring clips and out she pops. Can't make any mistakes with the wiring as all the connectors are different. If your oven is on the blink and doing weird things then it is probably this that is at fault and it is quite easy to change. I have bought 2 of these so I have a spare to go to when one goes wrong.
