Oven cooling fan replacement was a great fit, simple to reconnect and is cooling the oven perfectly. It is very quiet too.

Ease of Fitting

A bit fiddly - bit works

I had to flip the motor from one end to the other which was a bit annoying but not too difficult. Other than that it was straight-forward. Just remember that you have to flip the axles inserts on the fan blade AND the motor or else the fan will draw-in air from the front instead of expel it! (The logical words to use here are "banned" on this message board :) ) Can't fault the delivery or service from Ransom Spares. Equivalent fans are three-times the price elsewhere so canot grumble.

Fitted in minutes

Cooling fan failed and so oven would turn off when hot. Found this for a cdt cooker and was the wrong orientation but swapped it around and it works a charm. Saved buying a new cooker . Will bookmark this company for future needs

Great product, easy to fit

The fan was easy to install just as shown on the video. The oven runs very quietly, should have changed the fan sooner.

Great Price & Easy To Fit!

The fan arrived within 2 days of ordering. After a little adjustment to the motor on the side(a 90 degree turn to enable my wires to fit on my Kenwood cooker) the part was fitted and running within 15 minutes. It saved me a lot of money by not needing a professional and was very happy with the service. For the record,to adjust the motor I straightened 4 retaining tabs, turned the motor 90 degrees, relocated the motor and pushed the tabs flat.Hope this helps.

Cost effective solution

Good value for money. To fit a Capel oven the end had to be rotated 90 degrees. Easy to do and no tools required, a diagram showing how to do this would have been a nice addition. Quiet in use.

Questions And Answers

1 Answer(s)
The fan provided has the cables on the left of the fan, rather than the right (as per the original part and the image on the website). How should I connect up the orange and grey wires. Also the original has an earth connection, the replacement does not. Should I connect the earth to the one of the bolts?
By Glen - Blackpool - 07/06/2019
Hi Glen Skinner, we can confirm that the connections on this particular part can be changed from one side to the other by twisting the connector off of one side and re-attaching (twisting) it back onto the other side. If there is no earth connection on the new motor then it shouldn't be required, cover up the earth connection (best off with electrical tape) and make sure that it does not touch anything once installed.

Can you please tell me the blade diameter and length on this.
By David - Burntwood - 10/03/2021
Hi David, unfortunately we don't have this information. If you submit a part enquiry with your model details we can check if this is suitable for your cooker.
