Reason for replacement of switch. Intermittent operation of the control knob, inspection revealed wiper contacts had worn down. Four spade connectors had been subject to excessive heat which resulted in the plastic shrouds melting. Oven approx 10 years old. Crimp connectors will be removed and new ones fitted. Removing and replacing the switch was straightforward.
