When you cook, your kitchen fills with various aromas, including grease, smoke, and odours. Cooker hood filters pull in the air and use activated carbon to capture and hold onto these particles for clean and fresh kitchen air.
The buildup of grease or dirt compromises the efficiency of the filter, obstructing airflow and diminishing its suction power. Change it with this replacement part.

type 28 carbon filter
My hood was not on the drop down list of hoods on the web site, but was marked typ 28 and looked identical to picture, so took the risk and ordered two. Very quick delivery, well packaged. Fitment was a little tight, but OK (better tight than loose!) Good price for something that works!

Easy replacement but beware spilt charcoal
Second set of filters bought from Ransoms (I replaced them last year as well). Fits my Hotpoint extractor perfectly. Can be a little messy as some charcoal fell out of this filter. Good rapid delivery.

Does the job.
Essential piece of equipment for a cooker hood that recirculates into the kitchen. Easy to remove the old filter but hit and miss when trying to fit the new one. I have a Hotpoint cooker hood, it is cheap and cheerful but you only get what you pay for and another make might have better fitting instructions.
