Description

How do carbon filters work in your cooker hood?

Cooking emissions contain odorous and polluted compounds that the activated carbon in the filter forms bonds with and absorbs as air passes through it. When carbon filters take in and hold to these particles, they neutralise unpleasant odours and improve the quality of the air in your kitchen.

How can you tell when your cooker hood carbon filter is faulty?

The carbon filter in a cooker hood becomes saturated with the chemicals it has absorbed and make it less effective in removing odours and lingering cooking fragrances. Airflow obstruction caused by grease or dirt reduces effectiveness and suction force.

Would this carbon filter work with my cooker hood?

This carbon filter by AEG is a genuine cooker hood replacement part. It also fits Electrolux, Faure, Progress, Zanker, and Zanussi cooker hoods. Use our compatibility checker to see if this part fits your model.

How do you wash this filter
By Syed - Sunderland - 02/07/2019
Hi Syed, unfortunately you will be unable to wash a carbon filter. If it is dirty or clogged then you would be required to purchase a new one for the appliance.
