As Original Part, Easy Fit
Part is same as original, removed whole motor from extractor before fitting. Two man job to refit motor as needs support from below hood whilst screwed back from top. Overall easy job for an amateur just turn off power and note wiring details before dismantling.
Excellent service and great product
Bought this to replace the broken impeller fan on my Baumatic BT7.3GL, product was a genuine Baumatic/Hoover part and was a straightforward fit. Speaking to Baumatic they would only supply a complete motor unit for £100+, it's great that companies like RansomSpares.co.uk can provide parts like this and keep perfectly good appliances working for many more years at a fraction of the cost, repair! Not replace! Given the current situation with CV19 the speed of service and delivery was amazing, I did pay the extra for speedy delivery, the item arrived by 9am the next day.
Easy Fit Cooker Hood Impeller Replacement
Product received promptly and was as described on-line. Isolate and disconnect power supply to motor. Carefully release duct cover and glass hood and set aside. Remove grease filters and lift casing an motor unit to remove from wall fixings. Release complete motor unit and remove carbon filters (if fitted) and black grill units from either end. Using narrow nose pliers and small box spanner, remove two locking nuts, spring washer and spacers from end of rotor spindle, remembering to turn nuts clockwise (left hand thread). Remove old impeller and clean spindle. TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THOROUGHLY CLEAN AND DE-GREASE ALL COOKER HOOD COMPONENTS BEFORE REASSEMBLY. Introduce new impeller blade (white ref: number facing towards you), aligning flat rebate on spindle with that in the impeller, gently pushing until fully seated. Securely refit spacers, spring washer and two locking nuts in reverse order, remembering to turn nuts anti-clockwise (left Hand thread). Reassemble and install cooker hood in reverse order and reconnect to power supply. HAPPY EXTRACTION.
New Life
Impellor was a perfect replacement for the job, extraction unit is now as good as new. Ransome Spares are very efficient.
Ideal fit
Although not listed as the part for the cookerhood I have a previous review on site labelled it as being a fit for the BT7.3GL. As such I bought one and found it a perfect fit. Easy to connect to the motor once it was out of the canopy. Don't forget that the nut on the end of the motor spindle is a left hand thread.
Good Replacement
Ordered this fan as a replacement for the 7BT3GL cooker hood, based on previous reviews, and it fits a treat. My only comment is that I think they should be packaged better (in a box with protection) as these fans seem to become easily unbalanced. They arrived in flimsy cardboard packing.

It works
It arrived in a week, worked great, right part for the job.
Fits well, quick delivery
Good communication and fast delivery to the Netherlands. Propellor fits well In our hood. Was a bit difficult to remove the old bolt, but flattened the screw of the motor to get more grip with a pincer. After this it was easy.
Successful replacement
Our Baumatic BT9.3BGL cooker hood was making a terrible racket and I was getting further earache from the wife about replacing it with a new one at almost £200. I saw this replacement impeller on Ransom spares, with good reviews, and although the fitment listing did not include my hood, I decided to try it as the cost was low enough for it not to matter too much if it was unsuitable. I dismantled the cooker hood and was able to remove the old impeller fairly easily. (The information that the nut was left-handed from previous reviews was invaluable.) The nut came off fairly easily just by holding the impeller steady. Side by side, the old and new impellers looked identical, with no obvious damage to the old one so I didn't have high hopes that the new one would make much difference. I reassembled everything and switched it on and was surprised to find that even at top speed, the hood was virtually silent again (or as quiet as it was when new.) The old impeller must have been warped just enough to cause vibration and excessive noise. Everybody in the house is now happy and the purchase of the new impeller was an excellent decision. (I don't know for sure, but I think this part probably fits 60cm, 90cm and 100cm BT Baumatic hoods.)
