Description

The door interlock secures your washing machine door in wash and spin cycles

When the wash and spin cycles are active, the interlock system ensures the door is tightly sealed. If the door is not properly shut, the machine will not operate as intended. This safety measure helps prevent accidents related to the washing process.

Reasons your door interlock isn’t working properly

A damaged or worn-out interlock causes your washing machine's door to fail to latch shut or lock firmly. If the machine won't start or abruptly stops mid-cycle, the door interlock being damaged can be one of the reasons.

Would this door interlock work on my washing machine’s door?

This door interlock fits AEG, Arthur Martin, De Dietrich, Domeos, Electrolux, Elektro Helios, Essentielb, Faure, Fors, Franke, Fust, Husqvarna Electrolux, John Lewis, Juno, Marijnen, Norland, Novamatic, Prima, Privileg, Quelle, Rex, Rosenlew, Tricity Bendix, Wyss, Zanker, Zanussi, and Zoppas washing machines. Does the job, cheaper than the AEG part

The door lock mechanism failed on our 12 year old washer dryer meaning it wouldn’t run any more. This was a simple and good value replacement which got the machine working again. Two things to note: * I had to clean the electrical contacts on the connector, as it was sooty and dirty from where the old lock had blown. This was causing a bad connection * there’s a bit of a technique to get the door seal retaining spring back on, but there are a few videos online showing how to do it
