Latest Product Review(s)
Exactly right, fitting straightforward
Got this for Electrolux cooker model no. EKM6047XN because the timer had a weird fault where whenever the minutes reached 8, it buzzed and reset itself to 12:00! . It arrived very quickly and well packed. Not hard to fit, works as it should. Recommended.
No problem
Arrived well packaged. Was easy to fit once I figured out how to access below the hob
AEG Competence Oven Clock Timer
Fantastic service from Ransom Spares and competitively priced. I should have realised the timer would be a multi-application part used by many brands, and that knowing all the brands and reference numbers would extend the sourcing possibilities. But in this case, no matter. The clock timer is simple enough to replace, but it wasn't obvious that the timer is extracted and replaced via the front of the oven - necessitating removal of the glass fascia panel. Not a pleasant job but succeeded with a heat gun and slow slicing away of the adhesive which secures the glass to the metal frame. Then, tedious removal of remaining adhesive on both glass and metal. Swapping over the old timer for the new part is easy. Access to it is a pain! I used some 3M VHB bonding tape to refix the glass panel. All is well. I'd suggest Ransom Spares also make the adhesive tape available, and linked to the clock timer as a recommended extra. If it is in range, I didn't notice it. Just one point = when inspecting the clock timers it proves to be simply a circuit board with a display, a few soldered components, and a plastic housing. Materially, how the German manufacturer can justify the cost of the clock timer seems unrealistic but that's spare part pricing for you, whether domestic or otherwise! You need it - you buy it.
Cooker Clock/Timer
Search all on the internet for this Cooker Clock/Timer, I went to the 1st website I normally buy my stuff from but was a lot more in price. They did however do price match but I couldn't be bothered with all the hassle, as it was much easier to buy from here knowing I would be getting a good quality product as well as a good price and quick delivery. The clock is easy to fit to the cooker as its just a few screws and unplug a few connectors and pop it out the just reverse the process.
Timer
Timer was great value for money and great service!
Brilliant
After a little problem to start with over dates of despatch the purchase, delivery and continuity was superb. Can't fault the service, speed of delivery and product.
Great product and service all round
Great product and service all round. You won't be disappointed with their products or service.
The part that made the cooker work again
Delivered quickly and efficiently . The electrician told us it would cost £220 but we got it from Ransom Spares for £50 what a deal. We got the electrician to come back and fit the control box and remove the faulty one. He did this and the roasts are now superb again not just cause my wife's a great cook but with Ransom Spares assistance too !!! We would recommend Ransom to everyone not just because of cost saving but the replacement part works too.
