How to replace dishwasher basket wheels

Video transcript:

Hi, I’m Lee from Ransom Spares and in this video I’m going to show you how to replace the basket wheels & basket wheel supports on your dishwasher.  So if your crockery baskets aren’t sliding in and out as they should or your wheels are constantly falling off when you pull out the basket then it’s time to replace them.

Both the upper and lower basket wheels simply push in place.  Basket wheels are normally made up of 2 parts, the wheel and the axis that the wheel turns on.  In this case they come separately however on some dishwashers they come complete.  If they do come separately we advise that you always replace both parts.

You should be able to remove the old dishwasher basket wheels by simply pulling them away from the basket, and replacing them by pushing them back on.

Next we have the basket wheel supports.  Sometimes these can be removed from inside the dishwasher, however on this dishwasher they are held in place by screws that are behind the side panel.  To remove the side panel we first need to remove the kick panel at the bottom.  Next we need to remove the lid which is held in place with 2 screws.  Now we can remove the 4 screws that are holding the side panel in place.  We can now remove the screws that are securing the basket wheel support and replace it with a new one.

So there you go.  That’s how to replace the basket wheels and basket wheel supports on a dishwasher.  Dishwasher wheels and all other dishwasher spares can be found on the Ransom Spares web site.  Thanks for watching!
