How to Replace an Oven Top Door Inner Glass - Hotpoint

Hotpoint Oven Top Door Inner Glass

1. Remove old top door inner glass

To access the top door inner glass, remove the screws on either side of the door and place to one side.

Then, remove the trim and place it to one side. The fixing bracket may fall out of the trim, but don’t worry, we’ll show how these go back in.

Carefully remove the existing inner glass from the top door. A warning, the door may begin to close due to the weight reduction.

2. Install new top door inner glass

The glass has two sides. A matt finish (below).

And a glossy finish (below). The glossy finish is the side that needs to face into the oven when the door is shut.

Gently slide in the new inner glass and give everything a wipe with a cloth to get rid of any fingerprints.

3. Re-assemble oven

Attach the seal to the glass.

When attaching the fixing brackets to the trim, make sure they’re inserted correctly.

The hole on the fixing bracket that slides into the plastic trim, doesn’t have any thread and is flat. The hole that’s left for the screw, is slightly raised and has some thread.

Insert the fixing brackets to the trim

Re-attach the door trim.

Re-screw the screw on either side of the door.

And that’s it, your new top door inner glass is all set to go!
