Hotpoint Oven Thermal Cut In Thermostat

1. Tools needed and safety first

All you’ll need is a Phillipps screwdriver.

Firstly and with safety in mind, disconnect and eliminate all power to your oven.

Turn off and eliminate all power

2. Access thermal cut in thermostat

If your oven is in a kitchen unit or recess, remove the screws found at the front (if applicable) and gently pull your oven out.

Remove the screws from the rear panel.

Remove screws from the top panel.

Remove top panel from the oven. Be careful of any sharp edges and corners.

3. Remove old thermal cut in thermostat

On this Hotpoint model, there will be two similar parts. The one with the pink wire and yellow wire needs to be removed. Firstly, disconnect the two wiring connectors.

Then, unscrew the screw holding the thermal cut in, in place. You’ll then be able to slide it out.

Slide the old thermal cut in away, and remove it from the oven.

4. Install new thermal cut in thermostat

With your new thermal cut in, slide it into the slot.

Re-screw the screw back in to hold it firmly in place.

Then, reconnect the wiring to your new thermal cut in.

5. Re-assemble oven

Place your oven top panel back on.

Re-screw the screws for the top panel.

Re-screw the rear panel screws.

And that’s it, your new thermal cut in all is all set to go!
