How to Replace an Oven Bottom Door Inner Glass - Hotpoint

Hotpoint Oven Bottom Door Inner Glass

1. Remove old door inner glass

Remove the screws on either side of the door.

Remove screws

Remove the trim and place this to one side.

Remove trim

Carefully remove the existing inner glass from the bottom door. A quick warning, the door may begin to close due to the weight reduction.

2. Install new door inner glass

With your new inner glass, attach the seal.

Attach seal to new inner door glass

Then, gently slide the new door inner glass into the oven door.

3. Re-assemble top trim

When re-attaching the plastic trim, ensure the seal is correctly on both panes of glass. Make sure the fixing brackets are the correct way around for the screws. The hole that goes into the plastic trim, doesn’t have any thread. The hole that’s left for the screw, does.

Re-attach bracket

Re-attach the fixing bracket to the top plastic trim.

Attach bracket to trim

Re-attach the top plastic trim to the oven door.

Re-attach trim

Re-screw the screw on either side of the door.

Re-screw screw

And that’s it, your new bottom door inner glass is all set to go
