Terms and Conditions

Cancellation

You have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item(s) within 7 working days of delivery, in accordance with the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations. This applies to all of our products provided that all item(s) are returned unused, and in a re-saleable condition. Upon receipt of these items we will issue a refund and/or resend the correct item(s), with the exception of items that have been specially ordered.

Items should not be used as part of the fault finding process. Spare Parts that have been obviously used cannot be returned.

Please note that you are responsible for the safe return of the item(s) including the cost of return delivery unless we have sent incorrect or damaged good(s). An item is not deemed to be incorrect if the part is a recognised alternative or a part that has been upgraded or modified by the manufacturer.

Any item(s) that are returned outside 7 days of receipt will be subject to a 25% handling/re-stocking charge. Items that have been specially ordered are non-refundable.

Refunds

All refunds will be made via the same method used for payment, unless otherwise agreed.

Guarantee

All items are covered by a 3-month guarantee against faulty materials or workmanship. This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights. All items must be returned to us for testing before a refund will be given. Electrical items such as speed modules can be blown by other faulty motors/pumps/door locks etc. Where this is the case no refunds can be given.

Specially Ordered Items

Specially ordered items are non-stock lines. These item(s) will be specially ordered on your behalf. If delivery times are specified they are based on the past performance of the manufacturer. Unfortunately the timescales quoted cannot be guaranteed and once the order has been placed it cannot be cancelled. Specially ordered items cannot be returned.

Damaged Goods

If you receive an item that has been damaged, please contact us immediately via email to arrange a replacement. In this event, we will require all original packaging and any courier details in order to make a claim. Where the original packaging and courier details are not made available to us, we regret that we cannot accept back the damaged goods.

Definition of Incorrect Goods

Please note that all parts are subject to design and specification changes. Often the parts provided may not be an exact match for the originals but are deemed to be suitable alternatives. A competent person with suitable product knowledge should fit all parts. Compatible parts that have been fitted/tagged will not be accepted for refund.

Incorrect Goods

Please be aware that all items on the Ransom Spares website are subject to design and specification change by the manufacturer. Therefore, the item supplied may not be an exact match for the original, but has been deemed, by the manufacturer to be a suitable replacement.

If you receive an incorrect part that we looked up for you, please inform us immediately so that we can arrange despatch of the correct part as soon as possible. Alternatively you can cancel your order and we will refund your payment on receipt of the returned item(s), with all packaging.

If you purchased an incorrect item from our web site, please inform us immediately so that we can cancel the order. If the order has already been dispatched you are responsible for the safe return of the unwanted goods, (in a re-saleable condition) upon receipt of which we will arrange despatch of the correct item(s) or refund of your payment in accordance with the ‘cancellation’ section above. Specially ordered items cannot be returned.

Carriage Costs

All carriage costs quoted are for UK delivery only. For delivery outside the UK please email us for details.

Delivery Times

Items held in stock, which are ordered before 3PM Mon - Fri will be dispatched the same day. Items not held in stock will be dispatched within 48 hours. If we cannot dispatch an item within 48 hours we will notify you by email. If you wish to confirm stock availability please contact us. All delivery times quoted are approximate based on previous information supplied by the Royal Mail and other couriers. We are not responsible for any delays that may occur in transit. Five working days should be allowed before contacting us regarding non-receipt of goods.

Disclaimer

Attempting work or repairs on electrical appliances can be dangerous and should only be carried by a suitably qualified person using the correct tools and test equipment, with the appliance disconnected from the mains supply.

Goods that have been damaged during the installation process due to negligence or lack of professional training cannot be returned for refund.
