Identical thermostat
Direct replacement of the original part. As with any capillary tube thermostat care must be taken when handling the sensor tube while fitting. Delivery was fast and on time as promised. Excellent service by Ransom .

Saved alot of Dosh!
15 year old Hotpoint under counter Fridge stopped cooling but power was available. Was about to buy a £150 plus new replacement when I went back to basic and invested in a thermostat. Simple to remove check YouTubes and install. Part arrived well packaged and fast despite Covid-19. Fridge now back to full working order and appears to have a new lease of life. Ransom Spares has saved me money. I recommend this supplier.

New life for an old Hotpoint Larder Fridge
20 year old Hotpoint Larder Fridge compressor no longer running stopped cooling but internal light still working. After confirming the thermostat was faulty (power off, linked across the thermostat terminals, powered on and the compressor started) I ordered a replacement part from Ransoms Spares at a price that I was happy to pay. Part arrived within a few days (despite covid-19) and, after watching a couple of videos on the internet to get an idea of what needed to be done, replacing the thermostat was a straightforward task and completed in just over an hour. Fridge now back to full working order and hopwfully good for a good few years to come. It was very easy to find the required part on the Ransoms Spares website and place my order. I recommend this supplier.

Simple Solution!
Genuine part, same as unit being replaced. It’s the only part that has failed on an elderly fridge/freezer - 2nd time but quite a number of years between failures. Swap in new part and up and running perfectly again. Easy enough to fit. Cheap fix.

purchased for a hotpoint fridge part from another site was £29-95 from here £10-35 the part no and maker was the same as original fitted
