Your wash cycle runs through your washing machine belt
The washing machine belt is a conduit for transferring rotational power from the motor to the drum or agitator. Made of flexible rubber or rubber-like material, this belt connects the motor and facilitates the rotation of the drum or agitator to start the washing or agitation process.
How do I know if my washing machine belt is getting bad?
If you notice a loud squealing or screeching noise during the wash or spin cycle, it could indicate a worn-out belt.When the drum or agitator is not spinning or agitating properly, or if it's rotating inconsistently or sluggishly, it could be a failing belt.

Tough product. Awkward to fit but I'm a novice at this.
My first time fitting one of these. It took a little while as it's a stretch belt and a look onle found me a video of how to fit it. Made sure it was square on the motor and pulley and gave it a go. Worked like a dream and has ever since. Just had to sort out the loose counter weight after this and the machine now sounds like new.
