How To Replace an Oven Cooling Fan Motor

Video Transcript:

Hi I’m Lee from Ransom Spares and in this video I’m going to demonstrate how to replace the cooling fan motor in an oven. I’m going to be using this Indesit built in oven however the procedure should be very similar no matter what make or model you have.

If your oven is built in the first thing you will need to do is remove your oven from the kitchen unit. To do this simply remove the screws from down the sides of the oven which are holding it securely in the unit. Your oven will then simply slide out which will give you access to the top and rear of the oven.

The cooling fan motor will be situated at the top towards the rear of the oven and so the first thing to do is remove the top cover.

Next we need to remove the electrical wires that are connected to the fan motor; always make sure you make a note of which way round they go. This cooling fan motor is held in place by 2 screws which can be removed.

Now we can replace the faulty cooling fan motor and replace the top cover.

So that’s how you replace the cooling fan motor on an oven. Remember cooling fan motors and all other oven spares can be found on the Ransom Spares web site. Thanks for watching.
